Vinopolis : Laithwaites Wine opens flagship store in Vinopolis at Borough Market

The world's largest independent wine merchant is to open a flagship 5,000sqft store in Vinopolis, London's premier wine, spirits and events destination, in January 2010. The partnership brings together two world leaders in wine and will create a unique venue to explore, taste and buy wine.

The central London venue, situated next to the famous Borough Market, in an extensive Victorian railway arch complex is renowned for offering customers the chance to discover more about the world of wine on the popular Vinopolis Wine Tours.

Laithwaites Wine Commercial Director, Robert McCarthy says: "Vinopolis has been educating and enthusing people about wine for ten years. Our store will be an extension of this experience with many events and tastings, as well as a shop. Customer can purchase the wines they taste on the Tour, as well as try and buy wines from our extensive range from over 30 countries."
