Vinopolis: London's Wine & Spirit Tasting Destination, Vinopolis "The Venue", and Bars and Restaurants.

Vinopolis is situated in the heart of vibrant Bankside between London Bridge and the Tate Modern, adjacent to Borough Market. The 2.5 acre site within the arches of a Victorian railway viaduct was founded in 1999 as a unique experience dedicated to the world of wine and its associated pleasures.

Over the past 10 years the business has evolved into a successful destination for not only wine tasting but as one of London's most coveted events spaces hosting everything from high profile rock concerts to company conferences. Vinopolis also has 4 restaurants and bars to choose from, brand new retail partners Laithwaites Wine and the Whisky Exchange, which boasts the largest selection of whisky in the world.

The Vinopolis Tour offers 4 self guided packages to visitors with 150 wines from all over the world including the traditional wine making regions and those lesser known such as India, Thailand and China. In addition there is a Champagne Bar, the Bombay Sapphire Blue Room, the Whisky Still Room, beer brewed from our own micro brewery, absinthe tasting and an Authentic Caribbean Rum bar offering the best in Caribbean rums. Each visitor benefits from a 15 minute 'How to Taste Wine' session before they begin one of the 4 self guided packages ranging in price from £21.00 up to £38.50. The packages are themed around premium wines, spirits and Champagne with an emphasis on learning in a fun and engaging way.

Vinopolis also runs classes and masterclasses throughout the year for visitors to extend their knowledge. Our resident wine experts offer everything from introduction classes to wine, premium wine tastings as well as food and wine pairings. Masterclasses are held in both Whisky and cocktail mixology and celebrity wine expert Oz Clarke hosts tasting events throughout the year. More recently we have been offering themes on the tour with tasting events including English Wine Week and Australia Wine Fortnight where visitors get to taste the best wines from Australian Wine heroes.

Vinopolis is very successful at de-mystifying wine by offering an experience that can be enjoyed by enthusiasts at all levels enabling them to learn in a fun and engaging way.

We are passionate about what we do and we hope you enjoy everything we can offer. Whilst wine remains central to us, we now also have 7 distinct yet equally stunning event spaces, merging Victorian splendour with 21st century facilities.
