Laithwaites Wine & The Whisky Exchange

The Laithwaites store at Vinopolis is now open! Covering 5,000 square feet this branch is Laithwaites flagship store with 1,500 different wines available on site and 3,000 in its entire range.

The partnership within the Vinopolis complex brings together two European leaders in the world of wine creating a unique venue to explore, enjoy and buy wine.

With 40 years of experience as an independent wine merchant and the most comprehensive wine range in the UK, Laithwaites Wines has chosen Vinopolis as the venue for its first central London store.

Visitors to Vinopolis can purchase any of the wines you taste on the Vinopolis Wine Tour at the Laithwaites store. With no minimum purchase, the new store will be breaking from traditional wine purchasing convention. Laithwaites the UK's largest Independent Wine Merchant, owns ten shops in the South East and Midlands in addition to its online and mail order channels.

The Vinopolis Wine Club will be offline for a short period before it returns with an improved website and special offers, we apologise for any problems this causes while we carry out this essential work.

The Whisky Exchange at Vinopolis

The Whisky Exchange has won the award for Best Independent Sprits Retailer at the Drinks Retailing Awards for both 2009 and 2010. Holding a range of around 1,000 single malt whiskies, and some 500 other spirits. This is reinforced by friendly and approachable staff with many years experience in the drinks business, so you can be sure that you are getting the best possible advice.

They also boast the widest choice of American, Canadian and Irish whiskies that you will find anywhere in the UK. To complete the choices, they carry many whiskies from Japan, as well as examples from Wales, India, Sweden and even Holland.

They also have a number of small casks here in the shop from which you can fill a bottle with a handwritten personalised label. These are available in limited quantities and so therefore change on a regular basis.

Not just whisky though. They have an astonishing variety of Rum, Cognac/Armagnac, a wide selection of Vodkas and Gins, one of the best selections of Tequilas outside of the Americas, as well as some more exotic libations and all the liqueurs and bitters you could need for the most discerning cocktail cabinet!
