Vinopolis are working to help produce sustainable events and to assist this we have commissioned Carbon Footprint Ltd to develop an Event Carbon calculator which will be specific for your Vinopolis run event.

You are now able to calculate and offset the CO2 generated by your event, and give you the option to offset these emissions through a variety of carbon offset programmes which Carbon Footprint Ltd offer.

Once the emissions have been offset you will be given the option to gain "Carbon Footprint Approved Event" branding to help communicate your commitment to the environment

The offset projects include Carbon Footprint Ltd's "Clean Energy Portfolio" of projects which invests in projects that develop renewable energy in developing countries. All projects in the Clean Energy Portfolio are verified against the international Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS). Other offset projects available include the UK Tree planting programme which is endorsed by Bill Oddie (the conservationist and TV personality); and the Kenyan Reforestation Programme, which supports a local community in reforestation efforts in the Great Rift Valley. The Kenyan project is endorsed by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) plant a Billion Trees campaign.
