What's in the Vinopolis wine tour?

The Vinopolis self guided tour consists of several elements, each is explained below. All the elements are available in our 4 superb ticket packages. See which one is best for you.

Wine Tasting Vouchers
Wine tasting vouchers are available in sets of 5 and can be exchanged at the various wine tasting tables throughout the tour for a sample of your chosen wine. There are over 80 wines to choose from and our expert wine guided behind each tasting table to assist you. All Tour packages have a minimum of 5 regular wine tasting vouchers included. An additional 5 tasting tokens can be purchased for £4.00.

Premium Wines
The premium wine table gives you a chance to sample a wide variety of wines beyond those usually available on supermarket shelves. Tastings are included in the Vintage & Champagne packages and upgrades can be purchased at £2.50 for 1 tasting or £8.00 for 4 tastings.

How to Taste Wine
A 20 minute wine experience during which one of our qualified wine professionals demonstrates how to truly appreciate wine and its associated pleasures using all of your senses. The how to taste wine session is included in the Discovery, Vintage & Champagne packages and can be purchased as an upgrade for £3.00 per person. This session takes place every ½ an hour, with the first session taking place 30 minutes after opening and the last session one and a half hours before closing.

Champagne Bar
The Champagne bar is a new addition to the Vinopolis wine tour and gives everyone the opportunity to compare 3 Ruinart champagnes; R de Ruinart NV, Ruinart Rose & Ruinart Blancs de Blanc. Tastings are included in the Champagne package or can be purchased as an upgrade for £5.00 for 2 tastings.

Bombay Sapphire Experience
All visitors to the Vinopolis tour get to sample an exclusive gin based cocktail as part of the Bombay Sapphire Experience. One cocktail is included in all tour packages.

Beer Tasting
Sample our very own home brewed beer or local brewed beer from the Greenwich based Meantime brewery.  Beer samples are included in the Discovery package and can be purchased for £1 for 2 tastings.

Absinthe Tasting
Sample different types of absinthe and unravel the myths of this infamous green drink. Tastes are included in the Discovery package and upgrades are available for £1.00 per measure of absinthe.

The Still Room
A chance to sample up to three different Scotch Whiskies whilst learning more about single malts and blends in the relaxed environment of the Still Room. This is included in the Discovery package and upgrades can be purchased for £3.00 for 3 tastings.

The Blind Wine Challenge
The Blind Wine Challenge lets you have a go at answering questions on five wines which are tasted blind. Why not have a go at telling a Chardonnay from a Riesling using all the knowledge gained during the Vinopolis tour and win a prize up to the value of £250!
